My work grows from the tension between control and play, between wanting to hold things together and letting them fall apart. I think about access, hierarchy, and how systems that appear neutral or orderly quietly reinforce power. Through repetition, arrangement, and subtle misuse, I follow institutional logics until they begin to wobble.
Many projects begin with gestures of order that gradually loosen, shift, or fail to resolve. I am drawn to slow, accumulative processes and to forms of labor associated with care, maintenance, or decoration that are often dismissed once they lose clear function. I often source materials locally, allowing place and limitation to shape the work. Rather than confrontation, I respond with softness and humor, creating space for uncertainty, tenderness, and belonging.
